What Mila and I have said on many occasions is that it is not a good idea to introduce unnecessary hurdles into what is always a difficult proposition, finding a perfect partner or mate.
So perhaps the answer is to actively search for partners in your age range first and to exhaust all the possibilities before giving up and going for an older guy or woman.
Online dating can be great fun and searching is one of the best parts.

Most of us would agree with the saying 'You only get what you pay for' so do we expect low quality love if we are only prepared to pay nothing?

I do stick to the well known dating sites and only use paid sites for the reasons Mike says above.
A dating guru has urged people not to date people who are considerably older than themselves as an easy get-out. Many of us will know couples where there is a big age differences and in many cases these relationships are working really well.
I had a girlfreind who I met on a dating site, not Buzz50, who was 15 years my junior. We had very little in common and I welcome the idea of being able to choose your own age range.

I haven't joined this Buzz50 dating site yet but I may give it a try now.
