Outlook global address book not updating

I rebuilt the Default Offline Address List and downloaded the updated address book in outlook however there are still no updates.

I checked the event viewer but there are not errors reported from the OAL generator, in fact according to the events it had rebuilt it successfully.

Although all parameters for this cmdlet are listed in this topic, you may not have access to some parameters if they're not included in the permissions assigned to you.

Firstly and fore mostly: If you do anything in Exchange: Apply the “cup of coffee rule”, never make a change then go and prove that change works straight away! However most of us work in the real world and you have a user who needs to use this mailbox yesterday! Then check the mailbox Exists (See Check for existence of mailbox sections below). Remember, if you are looking at the Global Address List in Outlook then you are NOT looking at the Servers Global Address List*.

Bear in mind, the process you need to follow is; 1. If you are using Outlook 2003 or 2007 you may be in “Cached Mode”, and you are looking at a copy called the “Offline address book” This only gets updated Every 24 hours, and the copy on the server only gets updated every 24 hours at (by default).

The problem is that although we are updating the groups when we go to send from Outlook 2007 the groups are still the same as when they were first created and have not been updated with new users.Is there a way to remedy this without the need to recreate the groups?
